K Maison is a stylish boutique hotel tucked away in the quiet alley of Soi Rum Chi in the neighbourhood of Ratchathewi. This four-storey hotel is not easy to spot since it is well hidden away from plain sight, and furthermore it has a simple white exterior design that humbly blends into the surrounding old buildings. In contrast to the exterior, the interior of the hotel is decorated in timeless oriental elegance and modern Thai classic, which create a luxurious ambience. K Maison is truly one of the hidden gems in Bangkok, where you can relax in a cozy atmosphere, yet enjoys the bustling city just a couple of steps away.
The Lobby
As we pushed through the black stylish steel door, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staffs at the lobby reception desk right in front of the entrance. We arrived at the hotel way too early before the check in timing, but it was absolutely fine because we really enjoy hanging around the cozy corners in the lobby and admired at the exquisite interior design. The lobby is airy and elegance with a touch of minimalism. At first sight, I was really inspired by the great selection of materials such as checkerboard flooring, marble wall, louvre window and more by the interior designer, Mr. Paniti Kobkulsuwan, who has a perfect vision based on "Luxury Modern Contemporary Basics".
Original Oriental Blue Print
One of the unique features of K Maison is the Oriental Blue Print designed by PA-NI-TI Design. This classic blue and white designs are printed on items like cushions, wall decor, tiles and porcelain stools, and these can be found throughout the hotel.
The Room
There are no elevators in the hotel, hence we had to walk up the stairs to our room on the 3rd level; keeping fit and burn some calories is not a bad idea after all! If you have any heavy baggage with you, no worries because there is a bellboy service available for all the guests as a complimentary.
We stayed 1 night in the Classic Silk room with a size of 23 Sq.m, which is the smallest room, but fully equipped with a double bed with a couch attached to the front of the bed frame, private bath room with hot and cold shower, toiletries, smart TV, telephone, hair dryer, air conditioning, minibar, working desk, safety box and free WiFi. The layout of the room is quite unique, especially the bathroom, which is long, narrow in shape; the shower and the WC are separated into two areas with the basin setting between. There is also a Tea/Coffee maker with free instant coffee/tea and bottled water in the room. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, which came with a nice aroma that made our stay very relaxing and refreshing.
Initially we didn't opt for breakfast when we made our reservation, but upon arrival at K Maison, we walked over to Kay's Boutique Breakfast and take a peek; we were pretty amazed by the total white minimalist-chic and comfy interiors, that's all it took to convince us to top up for the next morning breakfast!
The breakfast at Kay's Boutique Breakfast consists of Continental Style Mini Buffet + 1 dish from Savory + 1 dish from Sweet + 1 cup of coffee or tea.
One of the signature dishes from Savory that we had was Hi Bae!, which consists of bacon, egg and brioche burger bun served with sauteed tomatoes & potatoes.
Another savory dish that we selected was Fried Egg Your Way, which was the sunny side-up or over easy served with ham, sausage, bacon, sauteed tomatoes & potatoes.
For the Sweet, we went for Kay's French Toast, a signature dessert dish made of premium butter brioche dipped in special blend topped with vanilla ice cream.
And we also went for Pan Kay's Pancakes, which was the fluffy buttermilk pancake topped with in-house blended cream and brulee banana.
If you are staying at K Maison, I would strongly recommend you to take up the package with breakfast. The breakfast is scrumptious and freshly cook upon ordering; and having a great meal in such a relaxed environment is definitely an ideal way to kick-start your day.
K Maison is situated in the heart of the bustling city of Bangkok, about less than 10 minutes walks from Ratchaprarop Airport Rail Link station and Victory Monument BTS station.

Stepping into K Maison is like stepping into another world, a luxurious world that puts you into a great holiday mood. The truth is K Maison is offering a surprisingly pocket-friendly room rates despite having a look like a 5-star luxury hotel. We will be back again for their Marble Suite!
