Hwagae Cherry Blossom Festival 2016, South Korea

We were standing under the cherry blossom trees and looking at a signboard that written 한국의 아름다운 길 (Scenic Road of Korea). At that point of time, we realized that we were already walking along the 10ri Cherry Blossom Road also known as the Wedding Road. People believe that "if a couple walking down this road together hand in hand, they live happily together forever".

In spring, many visitors come all the way to Hwagae to enjoy a walk down the stunning Cherry Blossom Road, which is one of the main attractions of the Hwagae Cherry Blossom Festival. This scenic road with an endless view of cherry blossom stretch over 6 km from Hwagae Market to Ssanggyesa Temple.

Come and follow us to the Hwagae Cherry Blossom Festival!

2. 10ri Cherry Blossom Road (Wedding Road)
Almost all visitors who come to the Hwagae Cherry Blossom Festival will take a walk along this scenic road. Same goes to us, this is the reason why we came to Hwagae. It was a rainy day during our visit but it didn't stop us from walking further. We know that cherry blossom has a short life span, and a rain pours will make it even shorter. Nevertheless, the fallen petals of the cherry blossom made the scene even more surreal and beautiful.

3. Tea House Sanyuhwa . 다실산유화
When we strolled down the Cherry Blossom Road, we could see many picturesque tea plantations covering the Hwagae Valley. The combination of cherry blossom and tea plantation create a moment of serenity and also making the landscape so photogenic. As the rain got heavier, we randomly entered a tea house to take a shelter and also tried out their tea. It is always a good idea to warm yourself with a few cups of hot tea, especially in a cold weather; and the best is good tea with some traditional Korean rice cakes (Yumilgwa . 유과).
